The art of flower making is precious knowledge passed from generation to generation. And no wonder. How can you not be interested in flowers when their beauty can hardly find an indifferent person? As for women…the woman and flowers - it's the same thing, especially for poets and lovers who gave and give us millions and millions of red roses. Unfortunately you can’t keep flowers fresh for a long time, not to mention that chances to use them as the decoration for yourself are dropping down to zero. The beauty of flowers were tried to be saved…
The first artificial flowers were known as early as 3000 BC in Egypt. Women already adorned themselves with artificial flowers. And then Greeks adopted the art of making flowers and use them as part of their garment and home decor.
In the Middle Ages Spain and Italy also engaged in the manufacture of flowers. They were made in monasteries for the decoration of churches.
At the same time the interest in flowers of fabric appeared in France. In the 13th century the custom of wearing a wreath of roses becomes really popular among women. It became so serious that even manual production was organized in Paris and Lyon. So it can be assumed that this was the turning point of flower making.
For the entire 19th century artificial flowers firmly fixed on the skirts, hats, fans, umbrellas, lapels of grand ladies and gentlemen.
And did you know that it was the time when the language of flowers becomes very popular in Europe. With the help of flowers young people were able to express their emotions, invite each other for date, and declare of love.
Fabric flowers have become part of fashion as an accessory for women's clothing and the interior.
Nowadays the compositions of artificial flowers are topical not only in women’s but also men's suit, giving them the bright personality. They have moved far beyond the wedding toilets and shown on the runways in the collections of the world's most famous houses like Chanel, Valentino, Galliano, Christian Lacroix, and other well-known designers.
